i know i'm a little late on this [the track below is from the gossip's 2005 release], but i've been into this album and into this band ever since i aquired it. no, it's not a new release, and no this isn't a band flaling in obscurity. if it's not obvious by the line up of bands they've toured with
[including white stripes, sonic youth, sleater kinney, har mar superstar, & that's not even the half of it], guy picciotto [of fugazi] recorded their 2005 release, standing in the way of control. but there is a reason for this, & they're a young band at only 5 years on the scene. let me give you a quick, sweeping standard for this band: they are from arkansas & washington, and you can definately tell. not only do they have that dirty punk song that screams arkansas, with the washington element making it a little dancey, a little indie of course, they almost look more like a gang than a band. they're just that intense. they channel all of that intimidation into gritty, soulful, rock [maybe punk would be a better word?] songs that won't fail to get you moving. let me make this easy for you:
